Here's something that people tend to make fun of us for: recycling. I'm not sure why this is humorous to some people? There's local recycling of paper, plastic, aluminum, glass & cardboard. What's so hard about recycling?

Each year, Americans contribute more than $200 billion to charitable enterprises around the world. A new generation of nonprofits like Change.org and Kiva.org have begun to employ the power of the internet to connect people and communities concerned with social change across vast physical barriers. The hearts and minds of students are inflamed by the rise of "social entrepreneurship." More than ever, private citizens travel abroad to try to volunteer. New actors in media, business, and beyond are taking an active role in solving shared global problems.
More than at any time before, average citizens have the opportunity to leverage their funds, networks, and personal talents, expertise and passion to make a difference in the world. Do Good Well, Inc. provides consulting and incubation services to help organizations around the world better utilize these assets.
As the official blog for DGW Partners strategic consulting firm, we will post articles, commentaries on best practices on international development, corporate social responsibility, and social entrepreneurship.

Seattle, Washington ranked near the bottom of a list ranking the health of charities in the nation's largest cities, according to a recent study.
According to Charity Navigator's ratings of the financial health of charities in the 30 largest U.S. cities, Seattle's overall rank was No. 25, above only Detroit, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Charlotte, N.C., and Portland, Ore. Miami, San Diego and Houston were the top three cities in the New Jersey-based charity evaluator's rankings.
